Featured Product

The Safeline (aka TriplePlay, aka Shoreline) Sit N Stroll gives you the best of both worlds! Both a stroller and a carseat, the unit is also FAA approved for an inflight babyseat.

Our reviewer family has had this unit since 2000, and the unit has seen heavy use over the last six years. This expat family has travelled extensively throughout Asia and reports that the unit has been a true timesaver (and backsaver) for them.

Benefits:
Of course - it's the convenience. Only one item to bring with you travelling on trips. Forget the stroller and the carseat - this does it all. Also, even when not travelling, imagine the convenience of smoothly getting a sleeping baby out of the car to go into a store. You no longer need to jostle the baby while transferring them from carseat to stroller.
Sound construction, despite relatively light weight and weak feel.

Downside:
Only two complaints to report: In carseat mode the baby straps into the seat, and the seat needs to be seat-belted to the car. However the belt goes across the front of the baby, rather than looping through the back of the seat like most. Not the most convenient for every day use as a carseat - but fine for travel.
Second complaint - the aluminum steering mechanism (made that way to be light) feels "weak". It bends a bit while you steer the unit in stroller mode, but has never truly bent or broken on our family. The wheel mechanism also feels as if it could be damaged by hitting some bigger bumps that true off-road strollers could easily handle - but to be honest nothing ever happened. Our unit served us flawlessly through two kids and multiple international flights and trips through Tokyo Disneyland.

From the manufacturer:
Imagine how convenient travel becomes with the Sit 'n Stroll ... You fly into town with your baby beside you in the FAA-certified flight seat. When it's time to disembark from the plane, you transform the Sit 'n Stroll from flight seat to stroller, which rolls down the plane's aisle, then up the jetway into the airport. You stop for a quick bite to eat, and the Sit 'n Stroll becomes a handy booster seat at the table. Then it's back to the stroller as you leave the terminal to hail a taxi.

The Sit 'n Stroll transforms into a carseat which quickly buckles into the taxi, and you're ready to continue your journey. The Sit 'n Stroll holds children 5 lbs to 30 lbs rear facing and 20 to 40 lbs forward facing and can be used from birth through approximately 4 years old. The Sit 'n Stroll in midnight blue features royal blue fabric with navy accents.

Lightweight, the Sit 'n stroll features an easy one-step operation. The 5-point harness system retrains baby safely and comfortably. Featuring three harness positions, the Sit 'n Stroll accommodates your child while he or she grows. Its adjustable height handle features high density foam handle grips.

The low center of gravity prevents stroller from tipping. The retracted stroller wheels are fully shielded from your automobile seat. A convenient storage bin in back easily stores essentials. The Sit 'n Stroll features a removable and easy to clean padded cover. Approved by the FAA, the Sit 'n Stroll is certified for use on airlines. The Sit' Stroll is a full functioning stroller and can also be used as a booster seat for dining out.

See available Sit 'n Stroll accessories (sold separately): Sunshade, Stroller Bag and Travel Bag.

As a stroller, the Sit 'n Stroll measures 38''l x 18''w x38''h and as a car seat measures 18''w x 19''d x 25''h and weighs 14 lbs. Sit N Stroll Features:
Carseat and stroller in one, approved for airline use

I agree with you admin - these strollers are ultra convenient, and I love the one that we have had for about 2 years now.

I would definitely buy another one, but my three biggest complaints are:
* sturdiness - we've never had a problem with it, but I feel like I am going to break the handlebars if I try to steer too much either way. Don't know how they could make it stronger without making it heavier, which brings us to point #2:
* weight - it's a little heavy for me to pick up (and my husband too) when trying to collapse the wheels while my daughter is asleep in the stroller.
* seatbelt config - the seatbelt from the car rests somewhat precariously over the babys lap when facing front (yes, she's old enough)
